This song, by itself, does not make me cry. When it’s accompanied by that animal video though, oh my gosh. I cannot watch that commercial, it makes me so sad, it makes me want to cry. And though the song is beautiful I cannot disassociate it with that video. It’s such a heartbreaking video. ;-; </3
Day 08 - A Song You Listened To When You Were Little
Faith Hill - Someone Else’s Dream
My mother loves country and I grew up to Faith Hill. More than any other song I remember this one. I remember driving while this song was playing and me and my mother singing along. I couldn’t find any decent source to post from soooo yeah. But I do love this song even to this day. <3 :]
At first I didn’t think there was a song that would seriously remind me of something sad. I listen to music a lot when I am upset and try my hardest to not associate the song with what is going on. But this song, I have realized, does remind me of something sad. It almost felt as if I was living it at the time. And though how things turned out were for the better, it still makes me a little sad remembering how close we were and how much fun we had just talking to one another. And sometimes when things get tough, I wish we could just magically go back because you always had such kind words to say, you could almost always make me feel better.
This song just makes life feel better. “Ooh child, things are gonna get easier. Ooh child, things will get brighter.” It helps me clear my head because it’s reassuring, like no matter what you’re going through things will get better, that it won’t always be this hard and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Lately, I have been listening to it a lot.
